In a recent interview with The Times of India, Amala Paul said that she couldn’t do a lot of movies in Telugu because of the characters that come up to her. She said, “When I went to the Telugu industry, I realized there was the concept of family. The industry there is very much dominated by those families and their fans. And the kind of movies they were doing at that time were very different. There would always be two actresses and we would be there for the love scenes and the songs and everything was very glamorous. They were very commercial movies and I couldn’t didn’t really connect with that industry at that time, so I did very few movies there.”
