Aquaman 2 Spoilers Revealed During Johnny Depp-Amber Heard Trial

During the ongoing trial of Johnny Depp’s libel suit against Amber Heard, the actress’ witness, Kathryn Arnold, released some spoilers from an early version of the Aquaman 2 script. entertainment industry, who spoke out to highlight the damage done to Amber’s career due to Johnny Depp’s accusation that the actress orchestrated an ‘abuse hoax’ against him in an interview in 2020.


A week ago, Amber Heard claimed Warner Bros cut her role as Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The actress testified that Warner Bros originally didn’t want the actress back in Aquaman 2. She said she “really fought” to be in the film and was given multiple scripts , with later versions taking away scenes with his character, including the action sequences. On Monday, Amber’s witness, Kathryn Arnold, stepped up to testify on the same matter. She described the damage caused by Johnny’s attorney, Adam Waldman, according to the actress.

During the trial, Amber tried to avoid giving away the Aquaman 2 spoiler. However, Kathryn went further by recalling what the actress told her about the changes made to an early draft of the script. “I believe in the first act of the movie, she was hurt in some way, or it had something to do with a baby,” Kathryn said in her testimony.

Aquaman is based on the Aquaman comic book. In the film, Jason plays the lead role of Aquaman. Amber, on the other hand, is her love, Queen Mera. According to the comics, Aquaman and Mera marry and are blessed with a son, whom they name Arthur Curry, Jr. But, in the first part of the film, the couple have yet to tie the knot on a big screen.

Kathryn Arnold said she didn’t read the script and only relied on what Amber told her. Speaking more about the movie, Amber’s witness said, “(Mera) ends up in the hospital at the start of this new Aquaman 2 movie and doesn’t really come out until the end to wrap it up. All interactions with Momoa’s character, and certainly the action scenes, have been removed.”

Kathryn also explained that Amber “trained 5 hours a day for several months with the trainer to do this great action sequence.” But, she didn’t even know that her role had been reduced until Amber came to shoot the movie. [her role] was drastically reduced from what she was in the script and what she even practiced while preparing for the movie,” Kathryn added.


Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the sets of The Rum Diary in 2009 and started dating a few years later. In 2015, they got married. In 2016, Heard filed for divorce and alleged Depp physically assaulted her during their marriage while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Depp denied the charges and said Heard was “attempting to obtain a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.” Their divorce was finalized in 2017. Johnny Depp is currently suing Amber Heard for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post in 2018. This needs to change,” Heard claimed that she was a survivor of domestic violence. However, she did not name Depp.
