In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Ayushmann Khurrana spoke about his upcoming films such as Doctor G and Anek. The actor said new filmmakers are excited about cinema and take greater risks.

Over the course of his career spanning nearly a decade, actor Ayushmann Khurrana has given the Hindi film industry some very meaningful films. From working with Shoojit Sircar in her first film, Vicky Donor, to Dream Girl with Raaj Shaandilyaa, Ayushmann has always welcomed the idea of working with directors for the first time. Today, after two years, Ayushmann has once again collaborated with two new directors – Anubhuti Kashyap and Anirudh Ganpati for Doctor G and Action Hero, respectively.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which shows a romance between Vaani Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana, was praised by audiences on Twitter. In a recent interview with IndiaToday.in, Ayushmann admitted that he enjoys working with new directors because they take more risks. He said: “I love working and collaborating with new directors and filmmakers. Half of my filmography is with new filmmakers. My next film, Action Hero, is with Anirudh Ganpati and Doctor G is with Anubhuti Kashyap. Both are beginners. They are very collaborative, passionate about cinema and life. They also take more risks. “
AYUSHMANN ON HIS FUTURE PROJECTS
Further developing his films, Ayushmann said, “I play a gynecologist in Doctor G. It’s a very original social drama. Whereas Anek is a political thriller set in the Northeast. Then I have Action Hero, where I play an action superstar who knows how to do action in a movie, but in real life he doesn’t. So it’s varied and different. I’m excited by all the movies, this are all my babies. But let’s see which movie will be first. I think Doctor G and Anek will come out first, then the action hero movie. “
The 37-year-old actor also revealed how he prepared for Doctor G. “I was watching The Good Doctor for Doctor G, but of course that has nothing to do with the movie or the character. just to get a feel for a hospital set up and I also think it’s a really good show. “
Ayushmann was recently seen in Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui with Vaani Kapoor.
