The biggest new movie headed to Disney + in December is Encanto, which tells the story of a Colombian girl faced with the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers.

“Encanto” hits Disney + on Christmas Eve.

Ron was wrong

Barney is a socially awkward schoolboy who gets a robot named Ron – a walking, talking, and digitally connected device that’s supposed to be his best friend. Barney is thrilled to finally have his own robot – until his new toy starts to hilariously malfunction, catching the attention of a shady executive who wants to protect his company’s stock price at all costs.

“Ron’s Gone Wrong” hits Disney + on Wednesday, December 15.

The last duel

Jean de Carrouges is a respected knight known for his bravery and skill on the battlefield. Jacques Le Gris is a squire whose intelligence and eloquence make him one of the most admired nobles of the court. When Le Gris violently assaults Carrouges’ wife, she steps forward to accuse her attacker, an act of bravery and defiance that puts her life in danger. The ensuing ordeal, a grueling duel to the death, places the fate of all three in God’s hands.

“The Last Duel” will arrive on Disney + on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Diary of a Wimpy Child

The first book in Jeff Kinney’s worldwide hit series arrives on Disney + in the all-new animated adventure “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. Greg Heffley is a lean but ambitious kid with an active imagination and big plans to become rich and famous – he must survive college first. To make matters worse, Rowley, Greg’s adorable best friend, seems to go through life and get it all done without even trying! As details of his hilarious – and often disastrous – attempts to fit in fill the pages of his journal, Greg learns to appreciate true friends and the satisfaction that comes with standing up for what is right. Directed by Swinton Scott (“Futurama”) and written and produced by Jeff Kinney, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” features the voices of Brady Noon (“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers”), Ethan William Childress (“mixed-ish” ) and Chris Diamantopoulos (“Mickey Mouse”).

This brand new original film will only be available on Disney + from Friday, December 3, 2021.
