The National Dhanush Prize winner announced on Friday that production of his new bilingual film Sir has started. Telugu-Tamil movie is written and directed by Venky Atluri of Rang De and Tholiprema.
Speaking to Twitter, Dhanush shared the movie poster with the message “Filming begins”.

Sir, which is set in middle school, is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, and directed by Dinesh Krishnan B. Dhanush recently starred in the Hindi film “Atrangi Re” starring Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. The film directed by Aanand L Rai is currently airing on Disney + Hotstar.
The actor is set to make his Hollywood debut with Anthony and Joe Russo’s The Gray Man, in which he co-stars with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.
At home, the actor has a roster filled with films like Karthick Naren’s Tamil action thriller Maaran, actor Thiruchitrabalam, and his director brother Selvaraghavan’s Naane Varuven.
