Dharmendra says ‘chup hoon bimaar nahi’, denies hospitalization rumors

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra is doing well and is currently at home. On Monday, June 6, rumors swirled that the 86-year-old actor was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and in critical condition. But, the actor is vigorous and warm. Dharmendra took to social media to deny reports he was hospitalized. Earlier Monday in an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Bobby Deol shared that Dharmendra is doing fine.

NON-HOSPITALIZED DHARMENDRA

Veteran Dharmendra star’s son, Bobby Deol, has quashed rumors that he is in hospital. Now the veteran actor has shared a video with a message for his fans. He assured them that he was fine. He can also be seen singing a song from his film Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke (1969) for his fans and asking them not to believe the rumours. “Friends, with love to you all (sic),” her caption read.

In the video, Dharmendra said, “Hello friends, be positive, think positive, life will be positive. Main chup hoon, bimaar nahi. Anyway, kuch na kuch baat chalti rehti hai, hawa udti rehti hai . Woh tha na mera gaana, “Bura Mat Suno Bura Mat Dekho Bura Mat Kaho. Take care, love each other, be good to each other. Alright? Life will be good.”

He said he had been quiet but wasn’t sick and ended the video with a kiss to his fans.

WHEN DHARMENDRA WENT FOR A ROUTINE HOSPITAL CHECK-UP

A month ago, Dharmendra went to Breach Candy Hospital for a routine checkup. According to sources, the actor was exercising and later developed back pain. After returning home, he took to Twitter and wrote, “My friends, don’t do anything again. I did it and I suffered. A big muscle pull in the back. So I had to go to the hospital. I’ve had a lot of trouble the past four days. Anyway, I’m back with your good wishes and blessings. So don’t worry. Now I will be very careful.”

Dharmendra is one of the biggest names in Indian cinema. He started his acting career with Arjun Hingorani’s Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960. Some of his most memorable performances include such classics as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Satyakam and Seeta Aur Geeta.

Dharmendra will next be seen in director Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani by Karan Johar, alongside Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
