Emma Stone calls her MTV Movie Award “My Child”

A newborn was part of the plot in “Due Date,” but it was Emma Stone doing the rocking after beating Zach Galifianakis (and three other guys) at the MTV Movie Awards.
“That’s my kid,” Stone joked with MTV News backstage at the Gibson Amphitheater as she lovingly rocked the Golden Popcorn she landed for Best Comedic Performance. “I go [feed him]. I go there every day.
“This has never happened before,” she added. “I’ve never won an award before so it’s very exciting.”
“Easy A” earned Stone victory over Galifianakis, Adam Sandler (“Just Go With It”), Ashton Kutcher (“No Strings Attached”) and Russell Brand (“Get Him to the Greek”). “In a category with four hilarious comedians? I didn’t think I was going to win,” she said. “So I am incredibly flattered and honored.
“And that’s so good, because it’s voted on by the public, which is an incredible honor,” she added.
The 22-year-old actress was present as a presenter alongside her “Crazy, Stupid, Love” co-stars Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell. She was also nominated in the Best Female Performance category, which went to Kristen Stewart for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”.
Stone, who just finished filming “The Amazing Spider-Man,” said she was really surprised by her win in the Best Comedic Performance category.
“Did this speech seem prepared? She laughed. “I don’t even know what I said! I was just concentrating on not falling. Once you’re up there, it’s a very shaking experience.”
