Has Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding date changed? Wait what!

There is a lot of confusion regarding the actual wedding date of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. While many said the couple would wed on April 14, several others confirmed the wedding would take place on April 15 instead. New and conflicting information seems to surface every day. Amidst all this, there are also rumors that Alia and Ranbir’s wedding has been postponed. Here’s what we know:

ALIA AND RANBIR’S WEDDING DATE HAS CHANGED?

While Alia and Ranbir’s wedding is the talk of the town of garlands, the exact date of the shaadi causes confusion. Conflicting reports claiming that Brahmastra stars are getting married on April 14 or April 15 are doing the rounds. Whenever Neetu Kapoor is asked about the exact dates, she dodges the question and falls back on witty retorts that only fuel the debate.

Earlier, Alia Bhatt’s uncle Robin Bhatt clarified to AajTak that the couple will have a mehendi ceremony on April 13 and their wedding is scheduled for April 14. Now, Alia’s half-brother Rahul Bhatt has revealed to AajTak that the couple have decided to change their wedding date. Rahul said the couple previously locked in April 14 as their wedding date but have now decided to push it back a bit after the information leaked to the media. Security concerns were also one of the reasons for pushing back the date.

WHAT DID RAHUL BHATT SAID?

Rahul said: “The wedding is taking place, it is known to everyone. But there is no wedding on April 13 or 14. That’s for sure. Actually, the previous dates were the same, but after the information was leaked to the media, the dates were changed. Everything was changed because there is a lot of pressure. I give my word that there will be no wedding on the 13th or 14th April. As far as I know, there will be an announcement about the date soon.” He also specified that the wedding would take place by April 20.

Alia’s father, Mahesh Bhatt, also told AajTak that his friend Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir’s mother, asked him not to say anything about the marriage. “So how can I ignore his request,” Mahesh Bhatt told AajTak.

Interestingly, Mahesh Bhatt visited Neetu Kapoor today at the Film City in Mumbai. The two were in close proximity as they filmed for two shows individually. While Mahesh Bhatt was filming for an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Neetu was filming for Dance Deewane Juniors. They caught up between shoots.

Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor has the most eccentric responses whenever asked about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt ki shaadi kab hai. Today, when asked the same question, she first said “ab aage badho” (don’t move) from this topic. She quickly said “main kyu bataun” (why should I tell you)?. Eventually, she told the daddies, “you’re welcome” at Ranbir and Alia’s wedding.
