Kajol is overjoyed as she begins filming her upcoming movie titled Salaam Venky. The film will be helmed by actor-turned-director Revathy. Kajol took to Instagram to announce that the film’s first schedule has begun. She also shared a photo with Revathy and the rest of the team.

Kajol has started working on her next film titled Salaam Venky. Announcing the same, she wrote, “Today we begin the journey of a story that needed to be told, a path that needed to be walked and a life that needed to be celebrated. We can’t wait to share this incredibly true story. of #SalaamVenky with you.

Previously, the film was titled The Last Hurrah. In a statement released when the film was announced, Revathy said: “Sujata’s journey in ‘The Last Hurrah’ is extremely close to my heart. It is not only relatable, but also inspiring. When Suuraj, Shraddha and I was talking about this movie, Kajol was the first person that came to mind.”

Salaam Venky is co-produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agarwal and Varsha Kukreja under BliveProductions and Take 23 Studios.
