Kate Winslet has been rushed to hospital after having an accident while filming her upcoming film Lee. The Hollywood star was filming for Lee in Coratia, which is a historical drama, where she slipped and injured her leg. However, the actress is recovering and will resume filming this week.

Kate Winslet stars in Lee, which is a biography of Elizabeth ‘Lee’ Miller, who was an acclaimed correspondent who worked for Vogue magazine during World War II. Before becoming a journalist, Lee Miller was the muse of famous artists like Pablo Picasso and Man Ray.
Kate Winslet’s team shared an official statement with entertainment website Deadline which read: ‘Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precaution required by production. She is doing well and will film, as planned, this week.
Lee was announced in 2015, and fans will soon be able to see Kate Winselt as World War II journalist Elizabeth “Lee” Miller. The model turned war reporter has covered historical events such as the London Blitz, the liberation of Paris and the concentration camps of Buchenwald and Dachau. Besides Kate, the cast of director Ellen Kuras’ film includes Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Connor. Kate is also one of the producers on the film, which is expected to wrap filming by December and tentatively release in 2023.
Kate Winlset will next be seen in James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water.
