Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Evaluation: PG-13

Release date: In theaters nationwide Friday, July 8, 2022.

Summary: Thor: Love and Thunder begins with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) trying to deal with the aftermath of the Avengers’ battle against Thanos. Should he retire and give up being a superhero? However, there is a new enemy to fight, Gorr the Butcher God (Christian Bale), and Thor enlists his friends to help him defeat Gorr, who is intent on obliterating the gods.

To monitor: Christian Bale no longer wanted to make superhero movies, but he accepted the role of Gorr after his children begged him to take the role.

word on the street: Chris Hemsworth appears in his eighth film as Thor, and it’s the third standalone film in the series. He gained more muscle than ever for this movie and had to eat eight times a day to keep it off.

my catch: I’m a big fan of director Taika Waititi. I love his first two feature films, Boy (2010) and eagle versus shark (2007).
