Malayalam veteran actor Nedumbram Gopi has died of age-related illnesses. He was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvalla, Kerala.

Malayalam veteran actor Nedumbram Gopi has died aged 85.

Veteran Malayalam film and television actor Nedumbram Gopi breathed his last on Tuesday, August 16. He was 85 years old. According to reports, the actor died of age-related illnesses at a private hospital in Thiruvalla.

Nedumbram Gopi was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Thiruvalla in Kerala where he died. He was a former employee of Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Limited. He made his acting debut with the award-winning film Kaazhcha, directed by filmmaker Blessy. He played Mammootty’s father in the 2004 film, where his performance was appreciated by viewers.

Mammootty, who has worked with Nedumbram Gopi, took to Facebook to pay a final tribute to the veteran actor.

He was then seen in films like Seelabathi (2005), Ashwaroodhan (2006), Anachandam (2006), Anandabhairavi (2007), Pakarnnattam (2012) and Alif (2015). He was also part of the TV show Pokkuveyil.

Nedumbram Gopi is survived by his wife and three children.
