New movies in theaters and streaming to watch this weekend: October 1
All Ted Lasso Songs Season 2 Episode 11 Midnight Train to Royston
It’s a Friday, we finally made it and I can’t believe I can see your face. This is my homage to John Mayer to Tom Hardy. The weekend is here and we are listing the best new movies in theaters and movies available on streaming services that you shouldn’t miss.
The movie that was coming out this year, then was not, then was and was not yet has finally arrived, today is Venom: let there be carnage. I will be honest. I could probably use this line every week as often as some of it got pushed. I seemed to be in the minority to say that I liked the first one, but I enjoyed Tom Hardy in the role and I’m looking forward to this one.
I spoke last week about the fact that we only have one new theatrical release. Well, this week there are 1.3 million more movies hitting theaters. From a prequel to The Sopranos on return from The Addams Family at a documentary on Christian music, all ages are covered this week.
We have the debut of a Soprano, a scary superhero, and Jake Gyllenhaal answering 911 calls this week.
Discover the films available this weekend, from October 1, 2021.

- Jesus’ music
- The Many Saints of Newark
- old henri (Limit)
- Titanium (Limit)
Love weeks like this where you have options for all audiences. I’m going to throw some biased opinion on Old Henry. If you have a local arthouse style of theater in your area and you are a fan of westerns, look for this movie because it is amazing.
- the guilty (Netflix)
- The Many Saints of Newark (HBO Max)
As Fanclub President Jake Gyllenhaal, I’m delighted to see him again in a movie. The film debuted at TIFF at a huge amount of to rent where we see Jake playing a 911 operator who tries to rescue a caller in distress.
