Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar suffered a heart attack on Friday October 29 and was admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bangalore. He is currently in an intensive care unit (ICU). A group of doctors are constantly monitoring and treating him. Soon an official health update regarding Puneeth Rajkumar will be shared by the hospital. Puneeth is 46 years old.

PUNEETH RAJKUMAR HAS A HEART ATTACK

On October 29, Puneeth Rajkumar was rushed to a private hospital in Bangalore after suffering a massive heart attack. Doctors treat the actor in an intensive care unit (ICU). His fans took to Twitter to wish him a speedy recovery.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai visited Vikram Hospital to check on the condition of Puneeth Rajkumar. A detailed statement from the hospital is expected to be released shortly.

LIFE AND CAREER OF PUNEETH RAJKUMAR

Puneeth is affectionately referred to as Appu by his fans. He is the son of legendary actors Rajkumar and Parvathamma. He has starred in over 29 Kannada films as a male protagonist.

He started his career as a child artist and even won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in Bettada Hoovu in 1985. He won the Karnataka State Award for Best Child Artist for his performances in Chalisuva Modagalu and Yeradu Nakshatragalu.

Puneeth became a hero with Appu (2002), after which his fans affectionately called him Appu. Some of his famous films include Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Ajay, Arasu, Raam, Hudugaru, and Anjani Putra, among others. It was last seen in Yuvarathnaa, which was released earlier this year.
