Puneeth Rajkumar’s older brother Shivarajkumar says he’s still in denial

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar died on October 29 from a heart attack. In a recent interview, Puneeth’s older brother, Shivarajkumar, said he is still in denial like the rest of the family. He further added that he wished to support Puneeth’s wife, Ashwini, and her two daughters, Drithi and Vandhitha, as much as he could. Puneeth Rajkumar, who is affectionately referred to as Appu by fans and family members, was laid to rest at Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore. In an interview with The Times of India, Shivarajkumar said his family members were trying to cope with the loss of Puneeth.

Shivarajkumar said, “It goes without saying that I am still in denial, just like the rest of the family. There are times when I feel life is so uncertain and I try to accept the truth; then there are times when I refuse to believe it happened and I feel like he’s still around, calling me ‘Shivanna’. Frankly, I don’t even know how I’m spending the days. “

He added that work occupies his mind. “But again, what should I do when on every corner there is a picture of my Appu with a garland staring at me? I just turn my head and refuse to look at these pictures. I know the death is inevitable and one day all our images will be placed in the same way. But somewhere the heart refuses to accept that it is the image of my little brother that is placed there “, he shared .

Shivarajkumar also revealed that he wanted to be there for Ashwini and the children. He said, “They say time heals. I don’t believe it. I think you are just learning to live with the feeling. I carry it with me and I want to be there for Ashwini and the children in any way I can. . “
