Superstar Rajinikanth, who recently underwent surgery to restore blood supply to the brain, was released from hospital on Sunday evening. He was admitted for three days.
The great 70-year-old actor was admitted to Kauvery hospital on Thursday. Although his family claimed that it was a routine checkup performed every year, the medical bulletin released by the hospital stated that he was brought to the hospital after feeling dizzy and had suffered a carotid artery revascularization process.
However, on Sunday evening, Rajinikanth returned home and was seen getting out of the car and being received by his wife Latha and daughter.
He took to Twitter to confirm his return.

Rajinikanth also thanked his fans via the voice-based social media app recently launched by his daughter.

“The treatment is over, I’m fine. I returned home tonight. I thank everyone who prayed for my health and everyone who inquired about my health. Thank you,” he said.
Earlier today, Tamil Nadu’s chief minister, Deputy Stalin, visited the actor in hospital and inquired about his state of health.
Rajinikanth’s next film, ‘Annathae’ (Elder Brother) is slated for a Diwali release.
