Ranveer Singh-starring ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ will be released on May 13 | Movies News
Mumbai: Bollywood livewire star Ranveer Singh’s next film Jayeshbhai Jordaar is set to hit screens on May 13. The film was due out in February. However, the release was pushed back due to the Omicron outbreak.
Ranveer describes what people can expect from Jayeshbhai, the character.
He says, “Jayesh isn’t your typical larger-than-life hero, but what he does throughout the story is heroic. And that’s something that appealed to me. He evolves into a hero and that what he pulls off is remarkable and really great. He’s a very unconventional type of superhero.”
The star praises Jayeshbhai Jordaar director Divyang Thakkar, who he says has made one of the most endearing films in Indian cinema history.
Ranveer says: “My mentor Adi Chopra called me one day and he said ‘I found a miracle script and I would like you to hear it’ and I went for the narration. Divyang Thakkar, who didn’t never achieved anything before, gave me a narration in which I was laughing through my tears and my laughter, laughing and crying at the same time I had a box of tissues kept on the table that tipped over at the end of the narration. I was amused, moved.
He says: “I accepted on the spot to be part of this film. The heart of this film is writer-director Divyang Thakkar and he is a bundle of pure love and joy and the kindness of his heart. , the kind, humble and loving soul that he is, is reflected in his work, his writing in his film and in my character.”
He added: “Jayesh is a character that I had never tried before and so it was something completely new and new for me to portray, which was a very exciting prospect for me. I really had to create something because that kind of characterization and those kinds of emotional beats, I’ve never played before I saw the prospect of creating something unique and original for myself and as a performer, that has been a very rewarding process.
