Sophie Choudry recently sang a cover of Pushpa’s song Oo Antava. Here’s how Samantha Ruth Prabhu reacted.

Sophie Choudry reveals Samantha’s reaction to Oo Antava’s cover version, the latter said: “You did a fabulous job”

A few hours ago, actress Sophie Choudry posted a cover of the song Pushpa Oo Antava by Samantha and Allu Arjun on her Instagram account. The actress sang the Telugu song and she received compliments from industry insiders and friends. Incidentally, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who featured in the original track, also reacted to the cover version of Sophie from Oo Antava.


In an exclusive interview with, Sophie was asked about the best compliment she received for her cover version of Oo Antava from Samantha and Allu Arjun. And those comments came from DSP – Devi Sri Prasad and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Opening up on their reactions, Sophie said: “So many people messaged me. Samantha reached out to me, which was very sweet, saying I killed her. A really sweet comment was” ma’am, you only come from the south”. Mr. DSP retweeted it on Twitter and it’s a very nice compliment. Because I performed a song he composed with Mahesh Babu for a movie. And I don’t don’t think they realized that I was singing too And of course they would I never imagined that I would sing in Telugu too It’s a whole other thing For him to say that I made a amazing work, it was a nice compliment from the composer himself. Before Sophie sang the cover version of Oo Antava, she even sang Allu Arjun’s song Butta Bomma from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. As he was well received by people, Choudry thought of singing Oo Antava as well.

“And I really like this song – the Telugu version of the song and I love the movie. I’m friends with some of the family members and I know Samantha who was just amazing in the song. I was usually chatting and j “I said I now have to try to sing it. And she said to sing it in Telugu and I said I’m going to try. And that kind of made me try and I did,” said added Sophie.


For those who don’t know, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s film Pushpa: The Rise broke many box office records. The film became a blockbuster in several languages.
