The release date of Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur-starrer Jersey has been postponed again. The manufacturers have released an official statement confirming the same.
Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey’s exit has been postponed amid rising Covid-19 cases.
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur took care of Jersey promotions. The film was due out on December 31 after numerous delays. But due to the increase in Covid and Omicron cases in the country, the Jersey release date has been pushed back again. The directors of the film have released an official statement on the matter.
JERSEY RELEASE POSTPONED
With the increase in the cases of Covid and Omicron in the country, some states have already started to close places of public gatherings such as theaters, spas, gymnasiums, etc. For this reason, the makers of Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur-starrer Jersey, have decided to postpone the theatrical release of the film. The official press release can be read, “Considering the current circumstances and new guidance from Covid, we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from all of you so far and would like to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone, please stay safe and healthy, and I wish you all the best for the coming New Year !! Team Jersey !! ”

THE JERSEY TRAILER CREATED A BUZZ
The Jersey trailer was loved by all. Shahid Kapoor wrote an emotional post on Instagram ahead of the release of the Jersey trailer. We can read: “ITS TIME!” We have been waiting to share this emotion with you for 2 years. This story is special. This team is special. This character is special. And the fact that we can share it on the big screen with you, everything is special. I have no words to express my gratitude. Hope you all feel what I felt when I played it. It’s gone (sic). “
