In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Abhishek revealed, “I was shooting in New York for a movie, and I used to stand on the balcony of my hotel room and wish someday it wouldn’t be. not good if i was with [Aishwarya], married? So I took her to the same balcony and asked her to marry me.
The couple married in 2007 in Mumbai. They welcomed their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan on November 16, 2011.
