The best new movies and shows to stream on Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Apple TV+, Disney+ and Paramount+ this weekend

If you’re like me, you have multiple subscriptions to multiple different streaming platforms, all of which are constantly adding new movies. Which begs the question with each successive weekend: what am I watching?

For me, it helps to have all these new movies in one place. So, in this article, I’m going to go over the biggest new movies on major streaming platforms, including Netflix.

House of the Dragon: Series Premiere (HBO)

The story of the Targaryen Civil War which took place approximately 300 years before the events depicted in game of thrones.

Orphan: First Kill (Paramount+)

After escaping from a mental institution in Estonia, Esther travels to America posing as the missing daughter of a wealthy family. However, an unexpected twist occurs that pits him against a mother who will protect her family at all costs.

The Next 365 Days (Netflix)

Massimo is a member of the Sicilian mafia family and Laura is a sales manager. On a trip to Sicily to try to salvage her relationship, Massimo kidnaps her and gives her 365 days to fall in love with him.

Bad Sisters (Apple TV+)

The Garvey sisters are bound by the untimely death of their parents and the promises they made to always protect each other.

Making the Cut: Season 3 (Amazon Prime)

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn welcome 12 designers who face challenges and assignments that will test their design skills and their abilities to manage all aspects of a business.

Beauty and the Beast: Sing-Alone Version (Disney+)

An arrogant young prince (Robby Benson) and the servants of his castle fall under the spell of an evil enchantress, who turns him into a hideous beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. Belle (Paige O’Hara), a feisty and headstrong villager, enters the Beast’s castle after imprisoning her father Maurice (Rex Everhart). With the help of her enchanted servants, including the matron Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury), Belle begins to bring the cold-hearted Beast out of her seclusion.

Abbott Elementary: Season 1 (HBO)

A group of dedicated and passionate teachers – and a slightly deaf principal – find themselves thrown into a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Although these incredible public servants are outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do – even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude towards raising children.

Echoes (Netflix)

Identical twin sisters Leni and Gina decide to switch lives. However, the disappearance of one of the twins leads to disastrous consequences, causing their lives to quickly fall apart.
