THESE two are Deepika Padukone’s most brutal critics. Any guesses?

Deepika Padukone’s recently released film Gehraiyaan received mixed responses from audiences and critics. However, the actress is praised for her performance in the directorial company Shakun Batra. Apart from Deepika, the film starred Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa. After Gehraiyaan’s release, interacted exclusively with Deepika, who revealed who her biggest and most brutal critics are.


In an exclusive interview with, Deepika revealed that she takes everyone’s opinion seriously and is always open to criticism. Additionally, the actress said she’s always open to conversation, whether it’s with a loved one or even those she doesn’t know very well. But, when it comes to the most brutal and accurate criticism, Deepika can only trust her family.

“I would say maybe my sister and my mum are the most brutally honest with me. Ranveer (Singh) is honest with me but he still filters a bit. I think it’s just love. But my sister and my mom are probably the most brutally honest,” Deepika added.


Continuing her chat with, the Pathan actress added that she takes criticism from her mother Ujjala Padukone and sister Anisha Padukone seriously. “Oh, absolutely, yes. I think it’s extremely important to have those people in your life who tell you [things] as is. Especially in a world where there is so much love, appreciation, adulation and fans, all of these things can get to you. So it’s important to have people who stay loyal,” Deepika said on a parting note.

On the work side, the actress will soon be seen in Pathan opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars John Abraham. Other than that, she has Project K, The Intern, Fighter, and Madhu Manetna’s untitled movie in the works.
