In the last two days leading up to the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, we’ve made every effort to bring fans as close as possible to the awards show.
The intrepid MTV News team working at the show’s site in Universal City, Calif., Had access to countless exclusive previews, including preview screenings of “Horrible Bosses,” “The Help” and more during our Sneak Peek Week; the brilliant “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” exclusive promise during the big show; and the very first preview of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1”.
If that’s not enough for you to tune in on Sunday, MTV News’ Jim Cantiello reunited with the show’s supervisor producer Jane Mun for inside information on what viewers can expect to see during the premiere. act of issuance.
“In Act 1 we have Jason Sudeikis, our host, coming in and out of our movies, but I can’t tell you what [exactly] it’s because it’s a surprise that we have to keep, “Mun teased.” You’ll notice a name here. [Taylor Lautner] on this board, “she added, pointing to a large billboard covered with pieces of paper in different colors, each with names of people and events that will occur during the broadcast.
“I can’t go into the details,” Mun said when asked what the “Twilight” superstar was going to do on stage. Cantiello suggested that whatever Lautner does, he should be shirtless – something Mun has neither confirmed nor denied.
“Then Jason comes out and greets the room and our viewers with a really awesome monologue,” Mun continued, adding that she alerted her censorship team that they might have some extra work during Sudeikis’ opener.
“I’ve spoken to the censors before, and they’re going to have a blast,” she said with a smile.
The first prize of the evening will be the best male performance, which will pit supernatural stallions Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”) against the star of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” Daniel Radcliffe, Jesse Eisenberg (“The Social Network”) and Zac Efron (“Charlie St. Cloud”). Who will come out on top?
“Then we just announced [Thursday] Morning is going to be the exclusive preview of ‘Super 8’, “with director JJ Abrams and producer Steven Spielberg and stars Elle Fanning and Joel Courtney presenting.” And this is our Act 1! “
