Ajith’s on-hold film Valimai will hit theaters on Pongal 2022. Ahead of the film’s release, the directors unveiled the film’s trailer today, December 30. The trailer is action packed and consists of high octane stunt sequences. As soon as the trailer was released, the hashtags #Valimai and #ValimaiTrailer were in vogue on social networks with several thousand tweets.


Valimai, directed by H Vinoth, is produced by Boney Kapoor. Earlier today (December 30), the creators of Valimai announced that the trailer will be webcast today at 6:30 p.m. Ajith’s Valimai is one of the most anticipated movies for fans of 2022.

On December 30, producer Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to share the YouTube link to the trailer and wrote: “

Ajith tries out the role of a police officer in this police drama. The actor, along with antagonist Kartikeya Gummakonda, performed high-octane stunt sequences. It looks like Valimai is a full-fledged commercial artist with a solid message.


Valimai was announced in October 2019 after the success of Nerkonda Paarvai. However, Valimai has suffered multiple delays due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The film is jointly produced by Bayview Projects LLP of Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. The film will be released in theaters on Pongal 2022.

Besides Ajith and Kartikeya, Valimai also features Huma Qureshi, Gurbani Judge, Sumithra, Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa and Achyuth Kumar in important roles. The technical team is composed of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, editor Vijay Velukutty and cinematographer Nirav Shah.
