VICKY KAUSHAL REVEALS THE FILMING OF THE JALLIANWALA BAGH SCENE WAS NUMBERING

Speaking at India Today Conclave 2021, Vicky Kaushal also spoke about the Sardar Udham scene which touched him deeply. The actor plays Sardar Udham Singh who avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by killing Michael O’Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab, in 1940. Vicky revealed that the filming of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre scene was a numbing experience.

“The part where we were trying to recreate the Jallianwala Bagh massacre was a numbing experience for me. As an actor, I knew what I was getting myself into, but I still wasn’t prepared for it. The way Shoojit films this scene is so realistic that you are thrown into this world. After I finished this shoot, there were times I didn’t sleep because I kept wondering about this incident. If it was so numbing to me, what would have been the impact on the people who witnessed it. The thought made me shiver.
